My exhibit opening at the Woodman Shimko Gallery was a huge success, and it was so much fun. Starting at 6:00PM on July 14, the event attracted not only lots of my friends (thank you all!!), but we also had a fair number of people walk in off the street. It was a blast to chat with them about my work, and I had a few who seemed like potential buyers. Time will tell….
It was fascinating experience to have people pause in front of my photos, absorb them, and then react. If anyone stopped in front of an image for more than a few moments I would pop in and tell them I was the photographer, and I asked if they had any questions. They asked great questions about technique, process and editing, and I found that I had much to share with them.
I talked non-stop for about 2 1/2 hours, happy that I had so much to say. There was some real interest in my work, and that was gratifying.
My work will be up in the Woodman Shimko Gallery through the end of the summer, so please stop by and take a look. Tell Woody, the gallery owner, that I sent you, and remember to give Chino, the gallery pup, a head scratch for me. He’s a sweetie. They both are, really.
Coming this October I have a showing in Hingham, MA, so stay tuned for more information.
